Boustead Singapore’s Real Estate Division has recently achieved a significant milestone by winning the tender to develop the Tukang Innovation Drive Plot A, a project commissioned by JTC Corporation. This milestone demonstrates Boustead’s commitment to advancing industrial development in Singapore and also marks a notable collaboration with its joint venture partners.
Operating under the brand name BP-Innovue, Boustead’s real estate division will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive development management services throughout the lifespan of this ambitious project. This initiative represents a pivotal entry point for Boustead since the establishment of the joint platform known as UIB, formed in partnership with Unified Industrial. This strategic alliance is expected to leverage their combined expertise to deliver this critical development effectively.
The Tukang plot is situated within the framework of the Industrial Government Land Sales Programme (IGLS) and stands out as the first project to benefit from an extended lease period of three additional years, bringing the total lease tenure to an impressive 33 years. The land was officially launched for development in December 2024, reflecting JTC Corporation’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation in Singapore’s industrial landscape.
Spanning a substantial area of 18,687 square meters (sqm), the site is earmarked for development into a multi-user industrial facility. With a proposed allowable gross floor area (GFA) of 46,717.5 sqm, the facility will include the necessary infrastructure for heavy vehicle parking, catering to a diverse range of industrial needs.
Boustead has communicated that the impact of this project on the company’s overall financial health is anticipated to be minimal. Specifically, it is not expected to materially influence profitability, earnings per share, or net tangible asset value per share for the current financial year ending in March 2026. As a result, investors are encouraged to view this development as a strategic investment in the future rather than an immediate financial game-changer.
